Children’s Christmas stockings or Personalized Santa Stockings are a tradition during the Christmas season that dates back for decades and is still a lot famous today. However, when it comes to filling them, where do you begin?
Make a Budget
Usually, they are filled with cheap and small things. However, it is always a great idea to begin by knowing how much you could spend on them. You could always leave pricey gifts under the tree.
Consider whether your gifts would be themed or would have a huge array of things in them. Maybe, if your child is into fairies or dinosaurs, you can theme the gift around this using accessories, lollies, and small toys.
Consider the size of the Christmas stocking and the size of the gift you are going to put inside. Try to combine 1 or 2 things, 2 or 3 medium-sized things, as a lot of small things that you can fit.
Keep Your Kid in Mind
Ask yourself if your kid will use it and like it before you make anything or purchase anything. Be honest. If they hate pink, do not purchase it, even if you think they will look cute in a pink scarf.
Also, your kids are likely to have very different taste and personalities if you have more than 1 kid. Keep this in mind. What works for your younger kid might not work for your older kid.
Wrapped or Not?
Wrapping gift to be put inside a stocking depends greatly on your personal preference. Several families do not wrap any presents at all, some wrap several gifts and leave several without a wrap, and others enjoy wrapping every present.
Once you have purchased everything, it is time to fill the stockings up!
